Independent Sales Representatives (1099 contractor)

Job description:

We are a leading web-consulting firm that specializes in helping small- to medium-sized businesses compete with the "Big Guys". We offer customized, high-end web solutions with frontend and backend controls that are usually out-of-reach for businesses that cannot afford an internal, dedicated web-development team.

This exciting position spans sales, service and support of our web solutions. You will promote new web solution sales and upgrades to existing platforms. You:

• Prospect potential clients and help promote the best solutions we offer for them.
• Are knowledgeable in the ecommerce arena and have a robust prospect/client list.
• Are organized and have immaculate follow-up on clients' questions and concerns throughout the selling cycle.
• Understand clients' needs and can competently educate potential clients on the features and benefits of our solutions.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.

Experience and skills:

To be successful in this position you must possess the following skills:

• Web technology-based product experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge and expertise in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, search engine technologies, and PC industry/market.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude. You want to look for clients because you know they do not come and look for you.
• Self-directed as this is a field-based position. You are in command of your success and compensation possibilities!

Compensation:

We offer our Independent Sales Reps (1099 contractors) some of the most generous compensations available.

We pay 10% GROSS commission on all of your closed sales. Our custom solutions typically start at $35,000 to $295,000. Monthly service contracts or maintenance charges typically start at $2500 and up. A typical sales rep can close 1 or 2 web solutions each month on 20–40 hours per week. 80% of our web solutions will result in a service or maintenance contract. A very conservative scenario is as follows:

Sell one $50,000 web solution each month ($5,000 commission);
Sell a one year service contract each month at $4500 per month ($450 commision).

Month 1 — $5000 + $450 = $5450
Month 2 — $5000 + $900 = $5900
Month 3 — $5000 + $1350 = $6350
Month 4 — $5000 + $1800 = $6800
Month 5 — $5000 + $2250 = $7250
Month 6 — $5000 + $2700 = $7700
Month 7 — $5000 + $3150 = $8150
Month 8 — $5000 + $3600 = $8600
Month 9 — $5000 + $4050 = $9050
Month 10 — $5000 + $4500 = $9500
Month 11 — $5000 + $4950 = $9950
Month 12 — $5000 + $5400 = $10400

Your annual compensation at this conservative scenario will be $95,100 and higher. You earn residual service contract commissions as long as the clients are with our firm.
